These circular earrings are our take on the iconic Tino Rangatiratanga flag - a symbol of Māori sovereignty, strength, and identity.  Black represents the void or Te Kore, white symbolizes the world of light (Te Ao Marama), and red signifies life and the Earth Mother (Papatūānuku). The Koru, a fern frond symbol, represents renewal and the unfolding of life.

These belong in our Toi & Mana collection - created to honour whakapapa, identity, and our personal connection to te ao Māori. Ryan and our son Archer whakapapa to Ngāti Tūwharetoa, and while Ryan wasn’t raised in the culture, we’re learning and reconnecting together slowly as a whānau.
